Calling all students who have a growing passion for welding and the drive to become of the industry’s elite. High school seniors are invited to participated in AEWA’s annual scholarship competition. A $25 materials fee is required for each participant and is payable at the time of registration.

Scholarship Awards

Arkansas Elite Welding Academy provides a $1,500 tuition scholarship for all competition participants. Additional scholarships are given for the competition winners. All awards are given in the form of scholarships to attend Arkansas Elite Welding Academy. No cash awards are given. AEWA scholarships are non-transferrable and have the following expiration dates. A student must enroll* within 12 months of the competition date and begin** an AEWA program within 18 months of the competition date.

*Enroll means a student must have completed an enrollment form, paid the $100 non-refundable application fee and the $150 refundable tuition deposit, and reserved their spot for a future start date.

**Begin means that a student starts attending classes in an AEWA program of study. 

Judges

Each weld will be scored by a panel of judges, including three Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) certified through the American Welding Society. Competitors must make a valid attempt to complete the competition weld according to the coupon blueprint provided to be eligible for a scholarship.
