Calling all students who have a growing passion for welding and the drive to become one of the industry’s elite. 2024 high school seniors are invited to participate in Arkansas Elite’s annual scholarship competition. AEWA Welding Competition Scholarship Policy

Arkansas Elite Welding Academy hosts a Welding Competition each year for current high school seniors. All Arkansas Elite Welding Academy Welding Competition participants receive a tuition discount scholarship. Top scholarships are awarded for the competition winners. Arkansas Elite Welding Academy also awards competition scholarships each year to current high school students at various other competitions. A student may only use ONE (1) Arkansas Elite Welding Academy Welding Competition Scholarship.

NOTES: 

  • Arkansas Elite Welding Academy scholarships can be applied to tuition charges only and cannot be used for materials fees or tools fees. No refunds will be issued from an Arkansas Elite Welding Academy scholarship.
  • If a student competes at the Arkansas Elite welding competition and receives a participation scholarship and a top scholarship, only the top scholarship will be applied to their tuition bill.
  • If a student competes at multiple competitions and receives multiple Arkansas Elite Welding Academy scholarship awards, the student can select one scholarship award to use toward their tuition bill. 
  • Arkansas Elite Welding Academy does not award any scholarships as cash prizes.

Arkansas Elite Welding Academy scholarships are non-transferrable and have the following expiration deadlines. A student must enroll* within 12 months of their high school graduation date and begin** an Arkansas Elite Welding Academy program within 18 months of their high school graduation date.

*Enroll means a student must have completed an enrollment form, paid the $100 non-refundable application fee and the $150 refundable tuition deposit, and reserved their spot for a future start date.

**Begin means that a student starts attending classes in an Arkansas Elite Welding Academy program of study.

Example:

A student competes at the April 2024 competition. 

They will graduate from high school in May of 2024.

They must enroll at Arkansas Elite Welding Academy by the end of April 2025.

They must begin a program by the October 2025 start date.

Judges

Each weld will be scored by a panel of judges, including three Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) certified through the American Welding Society. Competitors must make a valid attempt to complete the competition weld according to the coupon blueprint provided to be eligible for a scholarship.
